"Sibling Rivalry," the widely recognized comedy podcast featuring "RuPaul's Drag Race" alumni Bob the Drag Queen and Monét X Change, has announced a major multi-year collaboration with Libsyn. This strategic alliance positions Libsyn as the exclusive partner responsible for the podcast's hosting, global distribution, and monetization across various audio and video formats. The agreement is set to enhance the show's visibility, attract top-tier advertisers, and further cement its standing within the entertainment industry, particularly among fans of comedy, pop culture, and the LGBTQ+ community.

The deal, effective immediately, grants Libsyn comprehensive rights to manage the weekly podcast, which has garnered a loyal following since its inception in 2018. This partnership aims to leverage Libsyn's extensive network and expertise to connect "Sibling Rivalry" with a diverse audience, including those passionate about drag culture and contemporary trends. Both hosts expressed their excitement about this new chapter, highlighting their appreciation for their millions of listeners and their anticipation for future creative endeavors under the Libsyn umbrella.

Since its launch, "Sibling Rivalry" has distinguished itself as a prominent voice within the "RuPaul's Drag Race" universe, offering a variety of engaging segments. These include "Sibling Watchery," where Bob and Monét review new episodes of "Drag Race" and its "All Stars" spin-offs; "Anything You Can Do," a segment featuring friendly competitions between the hosts; and "Sibling Advicery," where they provide guidance to their Patreon subscribers. The podcast has been critically acclaimed, earning a GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Podcast in 2023 and the Webby People’s Voice Award for podcasts in the diversity, equity, and inclusion category the same year.

Stephen Perlstein, Senior Vice President of Business Development at Libsyn, emphasized that leading creators choose Libsyn for its commitment to creator independence, audience ownership, and world-class monetization without compromising creative control. He stated that Libsyn's role is to provide the necessary infrastructure, distribution, and monetization tools to help creators like Bob and Monét thrive on their own terms, whether they are publishing audio, video, or both.

Both Bob the Drag Queen and Monét X Change have established impressive careers beyond the podcast. Bob, the winner of "RuPaul's Drag Race" season eight, has starred in HBO's "We're Here," toured with Madonna, published a novel, founded Purse First Studios, and performed in "Moulin Rouge! The Musical" on Broadway. Monét, a contestant on season 10 of "Drag Race" and winner of "RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars" season four, has showcased her talents as a classically trained opera singer and co-hosts "RE!CAP" on E! Network. Both have also appeared on Peacock's Emmy-winning series "The Traitors."

The "Sibling Rivalry" podcast is celebrated for its ability to transform everyday discussions—ranging from drag culture and celebrity feuds to internet obsessions and peculiar topics like bidets and robots—into consistently humorous and engaging content. The show seamlessly integrates audio-only episodes with special video segments on YouTube, ensuring a blend of humor, authenticity, and cultural relevance that captivates its audience and encourages active engagement across platforms.

This collaboration utilizes Libsyn Ads' advanced solutions, including Host-Read advertisements (available in episodic and simulcast formats), programmatic Automatic Podcast Ads, and Integrated Brand Opportunities. These tools are designed to resonate with the podcast's dedicated audience, who are known for their appreciation of comedy and pop culture. The deal was facilitated by UTA and the legal offices of Brett Green, marking a significant milestone for "Sibling Rivalry" and its hosts.

This new alliance between "Sibling Rivalry" and Libsyn signifies a strategic advancement for the popular podcast, promising enhanced distribution and monetization opportunities while preserving the unique creative vision of its hosts. The partnership underscores the growing recognition of independent creators in the digital media landscape and Libsyn's commitment to supporting their growth and reach within the entertainment industry.
