Tesla Introduces New Entry-Level Cybertruck AWD Trim at a Lower Price
Tesla has once again adjusted its Cybertruck lineup, introducing a new base all-wheel-drive model that significantly reduces the entry price point. This strategic move aims to make the distinctive electric truck more accessible to a broader market, despite some feature reductions. Concurrently, the price of the high-performance Cyberbeast model has also been decreased, reflecting Tesla's continuous adjustments to its product offerings.
Tesla Revamps Cybertruck Lineup with More Accessible All-Wheel-Drive Option
In a significant development for electric vehicle enthusiasts, Tesla has unveiled a new, more budget-friendly all-wheel-drive (AWD) variant of its futuristic Cybertruck. This new trim, simply named "Dual Motor All-Wheel Drive," comes with an attractive starting price of $62,235, which is a substantial $20,000 less than the existing Premium AWD model. This move marks another dynamic shift in Tesla's product strategy, following a previous introduction and subsequent cancellation of an entry-level rear-wheel-drive option.
Despite the considerable price drop, the new base Cybertruck largely retains the impressive performance capabilities of its premium sibling. It is still equipped with two electric motors, delivering a robust 593 horsepower. Tesla asserts that this variant can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in a swift 4.1 seconds and boasts an estimated driving range of 325 miles on a single charge. However, some compromises have been made to achieve this lower price point. The towing capacity has been adjusted from 11,000 pounds down to 7,500 pounds.
To differentiate this more affordable model, Tesla has opted to remove several features. The new entry-level Cybertruck forgoes the air suspension system, though it does maintain adaptive dampers for a comfortable ride. It comes standard with smaller 18-inch wheels, but buyers have the option to upgrade to 20-inch wheels for an additional $2,500 without impacting the range. Inside the cabin, the rear passenger touchscreen and two of the four power outlets are absent. The interior seating is upholstered in fabric instead of the leatherette found in higher trims, and the front seats no longer offer ventilation. Furthermore, the sound system has been scaled down from 15 speakers to seven, and active noise cancellation is not included.
In addition to introducing this new base model, Tesla has also reduced the price of its top-tier Cybertruck, the Cyberbeast. The tri-motor Cyberbeast is now available for $102,235, representing a $15,000 price cut from its August 2025 pricing. This adjustment brings the Cyberbeast's price back to its original level.
