Rimac Automobili recently partnered with Red Bull athlete Dario Costa for an unprecedented aviation feat in Turkey, where a plane landed on a moving train. Despite not directly powering the aircraft, Rimac's electric hypercars, the Nevera and the more extreme Nevera R, were instrumental in the preparation. These vehicles, known for their immense power of 1,914 horsepower and rapid acceleration, were used to replicate the speed and visual dynamics of a moving train, providing Costa with a realistic and safe environment to practice his complex take-off and landing maneuvers in Croatia. This innovative use of hypercars bypassed the logistical difficulties and risks associated with practicing on an actual train, demonstrating a creative solution to a unique training challenge.

Beyond supplying these high-performance electric vehicles, Rimac's engineering prowess was also vital to the success of the stunt. The company leveraged its computational fluid dynamics (CFD) capabilities to develop a custom canopy for Costa's aircraft. Additionally, Rimac designed a specialized pilot's seat aimed at enhancing stability and minimizing fatigue during the demanding stunt.
