Relive the Legends: Your Journey Back to the Classic Era!

Global Launch Schedule for League Classic

Unlike conventional League of Legends updates, League Classic is set for a simultaneous global release on Wednesday, July 29th, at 11 a.m. EDT. This synchronized launch ensures that players across various time zones, excluding China, can dive into the past together. From the West Coast of North America to Australia's East Coast, the classic experience awaits at a specific moment, fostering a unified global event for the community.

Exploring the Essence of League Classic

League Classic is more than just a throwback; it's a meticulously crafted experience that harks back to the "greatest hits" from the early seasons of League of Legends. While drawing heavily from the Season 3 framework, including the original kits for champions and the iconic map design, it's not a mere replication. The mode incorporates modern quality-of-life improvements developed over the past 17 years, striking a balance between authentic nostalgia and refined gameplay.

Champion Roster and Community Involvement

The initial roster for League Classic will feature 60 champions, comprising 40 originals and 20 carefully selected favorites that existed during the early seasons. This mode intentionally excludes many newer champions to maintain its vintage feel. A key innovation is the "Council" system, empowering the player base to vote on which additional champions will be introduced into Classic, reflecting a community-driven development approach that promises a dynamic and evolving champion pool.

Balancing Gameplay: Adjustments and Dedicated Development

Recognizing that some early champion designs might have been considered "broken," League Classic introduces subtle adjustments to ensure a more balanced and enjoyable experience. Crucially, the mode will have its own dedicated development team, allowing for independent updates and balance changes. This ensures that any significantly overpowered elements can be addressed promptly, guaranteeing that League Classic evolves on its own path, distinct from the main League of Legends game, while preserving its historical integrity.
