A children's entertainment enterprise based in India has introduced its inaugural animated series on the streaming platform, Netflix.

"Emomee: Big Skills for Little Ones, Minis," created by the Mumbai-based firm Emomee, comprises 20 episodes, each approximately 11 minutes in length. The show centers on the characters E, Mo, and Mee as they embark on daily escapades designed to foster self-assurance, inquisitiveness, compassion, emotional intelligence, and problem-solving abilities in young viewers.

Pooja Jauhari, founder and CEO of Emomee, stated that this launch signifies more than just a new distribution channel; it marks another achievement in establishing Emomee as a global entertainment entity. She emphasized that every action taken, from cultivating a devoted viewership to expanding onto streaming services, contributes to building a lasting franchise that will extend beyond content into merchandise, licensing, and interactive experiences. Emomee, co-founded by Jauhari, former CEO of The Glitch, and Varun Duggirala, co-founder of The Glitch, garnered a billion views across over 100 countries and accumulated 2.5 million subscribers within 15 months of its inception. The company also attracted significant attention on "Shark Tank India," where all five investors extended offers at the founders' requested valuation of INR 50 crore ($5.2 million). Suraksha Subramaniam completes the founding team, overseeing legal and intellectual property compliance. Emomee distinguishes itself with a "life-skills-first" philosophy for children's programming, contrasting with the algorithm-driven, highly stimulating formats that have drawn concern from parents and educators worldwide. The Netflix premiere is part of a broader expansion initiative encompassing consumer products, licensing, and live events. Emomee intends to participate in Mipcom later this year to pursue additional distribution and licensing agreements. A preview of the series has been released.

The advent of "Emomee" on a major global platform like Netflix is a testament to the power of purposeful content in shaping young minds. By focusing on essential life skills through engaging animation, the series not only entertains but also contributes positively to the development of children, equipping them with valuable tools for navigating the world with confidence and empathy. This endeavor exemplifies how media can be a force for good, fostering growth and promoting positive values in the next generation.
