Celebrated Talent Joins "White Rabbit, Red Rabbit" London West End Production
In a thrilling development for theater enthusiasts, eight new illustrious actors have joined the cast of "White Rabbit Red Rabbit" at London's Duchess Theatre. Among the notable additions are Christopher Eccleston, celebrated for his extensive work across television and film; comedian and television presenter Mel Giedroyc; and the versatile actor Steve Pemberton. Other talents now scheduled to perform include Munya Chawawa, Nish Kumar, Adam Buxton, John Bradley, and Ginger Johnson. These artists are slated to appear in the Monday-evening residency, which is set to continue captivating audiences until November 2. Munya Chawawa will grace the stage on August 3, followed by Ginger Johnson on August 10, Mel Giedroyc on August 24, Adam Buxton on September 7, Christopher Eccleston on September 28, and Steve Pemberton on October 5. Nish Kumar is scheduled for October 19, and John Bradley for October 26. Additionally, two performance dates have been adjusted, with David Harewood moving to August 17 and Riz Ahmed newly scheduled for October 12. Prior to these announcements, the production has already featured compelling performances from Lucian Msamati, David Tennant, and Jo Joyner since its opening on June 8. Upcoming performances also include Asim Chaudhry on June 29, Luke Thompson on July 6, Jodie Whittaker on July 13, Kathryn Hunter on July 20, Kunal Nayyar on July 27, and Archie Madekwe on September 21. "White Rabbit Red Rabbit," an innovative production by There & Then, mandates that each performer interpret a script for the very first time, without any prior rehearsal or directorial guidance. This groundbreaking play was penned by Nassim Soleimanpour during a period when he was prohibited from leaving Iran. Since its debut in 2011, it has been staged over 4,000 times and translated into more than 25 languages globally. There & Then was established in 2026 by Soleimanpour and director Omar Elerian, continuing a decade-long collaborative artistic journey that includes productions such as "Echo" at the Royal Court Theatre and "Nassim" at the Bush Theatre. The company, which also benefits from the expertise of executive producer Roz Coleman and producing advisor Malú Ansaldo, is dedicated to collaborating with artists and communities around the world across various stages of their careers. The casting for the Duchess Theatre run was expertly managed by Matilda James CDG.
