Peacock Unveils First Look at 'Dig' Featuring Hugh Laurie and Amy Poehler
Peacock is set to captivate audiences with its new comedy series, 'Dig', which has just unveiled its initial images and announced a premiere date. The show, featuring the dynamic duo of Amy Poehler and Hugh Laurie, is a 10-episode narrative crafted by co-showrunners Mike Schur and J.J. Philbin, under the banner of Universal Television. Fans can mark their calendars for November 23, when the series officially launches on the streaming platform.
The series draws its inspiration from Kate Myers' novel, 'Excavations', immersing viewers in the world of a dedicated archaeological team, supported by a group of less enthusiastic college students, during their summer expedition in Greece. Their routine excavation takes an unexpected turn with the discovery of a rare artifact, propelling them into an unforgettable journey. Amy Poehler embodies a pivotal archaeologist, while Hugh Laurie portrays Neville, a British professor deeply passionate about archaeology, striving to preserve the revered traditions of his diminishing profession and mentor the younger generation at the dig site.
