However, this won't be an issue for D.Mon, Overwatch's newest mech-wielding champion. Kenny Hudson, the lead hero producer, recently shared with PC Gamer that D.Mon is conceptualized as a singular, cohesive entity, despite her ability to detach from her mech like D.Va. This unified design approach, while requiring additional effort in animation, significantly simplifies the development process, maintenance, and future content creation for D.Mon.

D.Mon is poised to become a favored choice among players, particularly those who enjoy the tank role, with her arrival in Season 4. Hudson offered a glimpse into her abilities, which include an energy sword and shield. D.Mon functions as an evolution of Reinhardt, excelling at holding the frontline and charging directly into confrontations. She can execute powerful whirlwind slashes with her sword, known as "Limit Break," which apply a debuff to enemies, making them more vulnerable, and simultaneously grant her a substantial health boost.
