Anticipated Power and Features for the Upcoming Camaro

According to insights from sources within GM Authority, the high-octane version of the Camaro is being described as "spicy" and is expected to deliver immense satisfaction to its fanbase. While the standard Camaro SS is projected to house the automaker's fresh 6.7-liter V8 engine, this specialized performance model will offer something more substantial.

Following a tradition established by its predecessors, which featured supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engines, the upcoming Camaro is likely to continue this legacy. The new 6.7-liter V8, already generating an impressive 535 horsepower and 520 pound-feet of torque in the Corvette Grand Sport, is slated for a significant boost. With the addition of a supercharger, its output could easily exceed 700 horsepower, a figure that would comfortably outstrip the 650-hp Camaro ZL1 and aptly earn the "spicy" moniker.

Enthusiasts will also be pleased to learn that, akin to previous models, the new Camaro is expected to feature a manual transmission option. An entry-level model equipped with a turbocharged four-cylinder engine is also anticipated. Production of the next-generation Camaro is set to commence in the autumn of 2027, coinciding with the launch of Cadillac's new sedan.
