HGTV is set to launch an exciting new program, "Totally '90s House," a competitive home renovation series that promises a nostalgic journey. The show will be hosted by Jaleel White, renowned for his role in "Family Matters," and will feature a star-studded cast of 90s television personalities.

The six-episode season, premiering on Wednesday, August 26, at 9 p.m. ET/PT, will showcase celebrities such as Brian Austin Green, Beverley Mitchell, Jodie Sweetin, Melissa Joan Hart, Matthew Lawrence, Keshia Knight Pulliam, and Joey Lawrence. These stars will form two teams, each tasked with overhauling houses that have remained untouched since the 1990s, complete with honey oak cabinets, sponge-painted walls, and mirrored closets. The ultimate victors will secure a $25,000 charitable donation.

Jaleel White, reflecting on the enduring popularity of the 90s, emphasized the show's goal to refresh homes that are "stuck in the past." He will introduce the celebrity teams to their retro properties and, in the second week, announce renovation challenges via VHS tapes, with renowned designer Vern Yip joining as a guest judge. As the competition progresses, more celebrities and HGTV personalities, including Brian and Mika Kleinschmidt, Drew Lachey, Mina Starsiak Hawk, Paige Davis, and Jonathan Adler, will appear to evaluate the teams' creativity and design prowess. Complementing the series, HGTV will also release "HGTV's House Call: '90s Edition," a YouTube companion series offering viewers an intimate look into the homes and personal stories of 90s icons, with six episodes scheduled for August.

This program not only provides an entertaining look back at a beloved decade but also highlights the positive impact of teamwork and creativity in transforming spaces and supporting charitable causes. It's a celebration of continuous improvement and community spirit.
