HBO's "Harry Potter" Series Reveals New Cast for Season 2, Including Dobby and Tom Riddle

With the inaugural season, "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone," set to enchant audiences on December 25th, an array of new and familiar characters for the follow-up season, presumably "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets," have been unveiled, promising fresh interpretations of iconic roles.

Among the most eagerly awaited announcements is the new face for the young Lord Voldemort, Tom Riddle. This pivotal character will be brought to life by Billy Barratt, a 19-year-old talent recognized for his roles in Apple TV's "Invasion" and the horror film "Bring Her Back." Barratt also notably secured an International Emmy for Best Actor for his performance in the BBC TV production "Responsible Child." He steps into shoes previously worn by Christian Coulson in the 2002 cinematic adaptation of "Chamber of Secrets."

Joining Barratt is Lenny Rush, cast as the endearing house-elf Dobby. The 17-year-old actor, celebrated for his British Academy Television Award-winning performance in the comedy-drama "Am I Being Unreasonable?", will portray the character that was famously a CGI creation voiced by Toby Jones in the original film series. Furthermore, the role of Ginny Weasley, Ron's sister, will see a new portrayal by Bonnie Hill for season two, taking over from Gracie Cochrane, who plays the character in the first season. Hill's previous credits include Netflix's "The Six Triple Eight" and "Girl Troop vs Aliens."

Other notable additions include Daniel Rigby as Vernon Dursley, Bel Powley as Petunia Dursley, and Katherine Parkinson as Molly Weasley.
