Finnish culinary enterprise Fresh Servant Group has significantly enhanced its position within the foodservice industry through the strategic acquisition of Bama Fresh Cuts. This momentous transaction, involving the purchase of the business from Norway's Bama Gruppen, represents a pivotal step in Fresh Servant's expansion strategy.

The terms of the agreement, which remain undisclosed, are currently awaiting clearance from regulatory authorities. Bama Fresh Cuts, based in Vantaa, Finland, is a prominent producer of ready-to-eat salads and prepared meals, catering to both retail and professional kitchen clients. The company boasts a diverse product range of approximately 160 items and employs around 80 individuals. In 2025, Bama Fresh Cuts reported revenues of €24.2 million, with a substantial 80% stemming from its foodservice operations.

Leaders from both companies have expressed optimism regarding the acquisition. Atle Beyer, Chairman of Bama Gruppen for the Nordics, emphasized Fresh Servant's expertise and dedication to fostering the acquired business's future growth, highlighting the positive implications for both the enterprise and its workforce. Sami Haapasalmi, CEO of Fresh Servant, underscored the acquisition's significance, describing it as the largest in the company's history and a major strategic advancement. He articulated Fresh Servant's vision to lead innovation in the restaurant sector, anticipating continued expansion in out-of-home dining. Haapasalmi reiterated the company's commitment to simplifying operations for professional kitchens, introducing novel solutions, and promoting the integration of fresh vegetables into daily dietary choices, aiming to be the preferred partner for convenience, wellness, and growth.

Founded in 1995, Fresh Servant specializes in manufacturing prepared meals, salads, and snacks, operating production facilities in Pedersöre, Seinäjoki, and Lapua, Finland. The company, which recorded €110 million in revenue last year, markets its products under well-known brands such as Hetki, Fresse, and FreshPro. This strategic acquisition not only solidifies Fresh Servant's market presence but also propels its mission to innovate and elevate the standards of quality and convenience in the food sector, contributing to a healthier and more efficient culinary landscape.
