Bitdeer Technologies Group and Soluna Holdings have entered a significant co-mining collaboration, boosting Bitdeer's Bitcoin mining capabilities while introducing a new revenue model for Soluna. This alliance will see the integration of advanced mining equipment at a wind-powered facility, aligning with sustainable energy initiatives within the cryptocurrency sector. The agreement underscores a growing trend of partnerships aimed at optimizing operational efficiencies and leveraging renewable resources for energy-intensive processes like cryptocurrency mining.

Soluna Holdings, a prominent operator of computing infrastructure, has secured a co-mining agreement with Bitdeer Technologies Group, designed to significantly enhance Bitcoin mining operations. This partnership focuses on Soluna's Project Kati 1 facility in South Texas, which harnesses wind energy to power its operations. The strategic collaboration involves the deployment of 28 megawatts of additional capacity, equating to approximately 1.93 exahashes per second (EH/s) of Bitcoin mining power. This development marks a pivotal moment for both entities, as it expands Bitdeer's operational footprint and diversifies Soluna's revenue streams beyond traditional hosting services to include direct participation in mining economics.

Strategic Expansion in Bitcoin Mining

Bitdeer Technologies Group is poised to expand its Bitcoin mining hash rate significantly by partnering with Soluna Holdings. This collaboration will introduce an additional 28 megawatts of capacity, adding approximately 1.93 EH/s to Bitdeer's existing mining operations. The deployment of SEALMINER A2 Pro Air machines is scheduled to commence in September 2026, with a phased rollout. This move strengthens Bitdeer's position in the competitive Bitcoin mining landscape by increasing its operational scale and efficiency.

The agreement between Bitdeer and Soluna signifies a strategic expansion for both companies in the cryptocurrency mining industry. Bitdeer will leverage Soluna's wind-powered Project Kati 1 site in South Texas, contributing to a more sustainable mining infrastructure. Soluna, in turn, will provide the necessary site, power infrastructure, and comprehensive operational support. A key aspect of this partnership is the shared proceeds model, where both companies will benefit directly from the Bitcoin generated, reflecting Soluna's evolution from a hosting-only provider to an active participant in mining economics. This innovative approach allows Soluna to directly capitalize on the production from its infrastructure, while Bitdeer gains access to reliable and renewable energy sources for its expanding mining fleet.

Innovative Co-Mining Model and Sustainable Energy

The co-mining agreement between Soluna and Bitdeer introduces an innovative model that allows Soluna to directly engage in the economics of Bitcoin mining, moving beyond its previous role as solely a hosting provider. This direct participation enables Soluna to gain greater exposure to the production generated by its wind-powered computing infrastructure at Project Kati 1. The initiative underscores a commitment to sustainable energy use within the data center and cryptocurrency sectors, aligning economic growth with environmental responsibility.

Soluna's Project Kati 1, an 83 MW data center located in Willacy County, has already demonstrated profitability, reporting its first gross profit during the second quarter. The integration of Bitdeer's mining equipment will occur within the K1BC phase of this project, further enhancing the site's operational activity. John Belizaire, Soluna's CEO, emphasized that this co-mining strategy is a natural progression, building upon the company's extensive experience in managing renewable-powered computing facilities and enabling a more direct engagement with the output of these assets. This forward-thinking approach not only expands Soluna's monetization avenues but also integrates more Bitdeer hardware into a growing network of data centers, reinforcing the viability of using renewable energy for large-scale data operations.

Coca-Cola Outperforms PepsiCo Amidst Shifting Market Dynamics
Coca-Cola (KO) has demonstrated superior performance compared to PepsiCo (PEP) in the second quarter of 2026, with KO's stock surging 33% year-to-date against PEP's modest 3% gain. This divergence is attributed to Coca-Cola's raised full-year guidance and robust global unit case volume growth, contrasting with PepsiCo's volume shortfall, particularly in its Frito-Lay snacks division. While Coca-Cola benefits from its asset-light model and strong operating margins, PepsiCo offers a higher dividend yield, appealing to income-focused investors.
