Open Planet Studios has announced that its documentary feature, 'How to Live on Earth,' featuring narration by Benedict Cumberbatch, will debut on YouTube on September 20th. This cinematic work, presented from the historic setting of London's Natural History Museum, compiles diverse perspectives from various contributors, focusing on collaborative strategies between humanity and nature to cultivate a secure and flourishing future.

Key figures contributing to the documentary include prominent climate justice advocate Xiye Bastida, renowned field biologist and wildlife filmmaker Dan O’Neill, and Sam Kass, former White House chef and senior policy advisor on nutrition. Executive producer and Open Planet co-founder Jonnie Hughes emphasized that the film aims to spark broader conversations about our connection to the environment, noting a growing public desire for uplifting narratives that foster hope and empowerment. The global YouTube premiere is seen as a pivotal moment to transform this positive momentum into a shared collective experience.

The documentary's YouTube release will coincide with the unveiling of "Chapter 4," an original end-credit song composed, produced, and performed by Imogen Heap. 'How to Live on Earth' first premiered on June 22nd at London's Odeon Luxe Leicester Square, followed by a UK theatrical release on June 26th. Leading up to its digital launch, the film is undertaking a series of regional premieres and screenings across Switzerland, Australia, Ecuador, the Netherlands, Hong Kong, Singapore, New Zealand, and the United States. Additionally, a special screening and Q&A session for the documentary will inaugurate New York Climate Week at the Climate Film Festival in New York on September 20th. A comprehensive global impact campaign, in collaboration with NGOs, UN agencies, and educational institutions, will support the film's release.

This film serves as a timely reminder of our collective responsibility towards the planet and its intricate ecosystems. By showcasing innovative solutions and fostering dialogue, it inspires viewers to actively participate in building a more harmonious relationship with nature, underscoring the power of informed action and global cooperation in addressing critical environmental challenges.
