Powering the VLE-class is Mercedes' new modular Van.EA architecture, featuring an 800-volt system and a 115-kWh battery, with a less expensive 80-kW option planned for some markets. The initial VLE300 variant will offer a 268-hp single motor, followed by a more powerful 409-hp dual-motor VLE400. With a WLTP estimated range of 700 kilometers for the VLE300, translating to approximately 370 miles EPA, and fast-charging capabilities, it ensures long-distance travel is as seamless as it is luxurious. The sophisticated chassis includes adaptive air suspension that can adjust ride height using navigation data, rear-wheel steering for enhanced maneuverability, and advanced automated parking features, making the VLE-class a marvel of modern automotive engineering.
